Formed in 1997, the Jbanov Duo brings together Anna on piano and Roman on accordion. As siblings, they offer a repertoire that blends classical music, Slavic works, orchestral transcriptions, film scores, and virtuosic pieces. Born in Ukraine into a family of musicians, Anna and Roman began their studies at the age of five in Russia before continuing their musical journeys in France. Anna trained in Novosibirsk and later at the Paris Conservatory, the École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot, and the CNSMD in Paris. She is also a piano professor at the Toulouse Regional Conservatory. Roman is a concert accordionist (bayan) and a prize-winner at numerous international competitions. He is also known for his other ensemble, the "Paris-Moscou" duo, as well as for his work as an educator and competition juror. A state-certified musician, Roman currently teaches at the Guéret Departmental Conservatory. Both artists pursue parallel careers as soloists and as a duo, alongside their work as educators across France and Europe. They have won numerous international competitions and perform in prestigious venues; they are also frequently invited to serve on competition juries and lead masterclasses.
